Job summary

Vista Springs is seeking a dependable maintenance technician to execute repairs, support room turns, assist with remodeling, and maintain a clean, safe facility for staff, residents, and families in our Michigan communities.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of maintenance experience, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and painting, a high school diploma or GED, and basic English. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, retirement plan, and opportunities for advancement.

Vista Springs Trillium Village Grand Estate is looking for a dependable, productive, hands-on technician who can execute repairs, complete assignments, assist with room turns, support remodeling and cosmetic refresh work, respond to daily needs, and take direction well. Assist in providing a safe, clean, comfortable, well groomed facility environment for the staff, residents and family members.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Driver’s License

Work Experience

One year working experience in the maintenance field and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting experience a must.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with residents, staff, customers on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting. Must be able to speak, read and write using Basic English skills.

Physical Demands

Lift 50-75 lbs. required to perform all aspects of the job on a day-to-day basis. Possibly operating dangerous equipment. Physical work my include moving furniture and equipment, shoveling, raking, painting, lifting, climbing, walking, etc. Must be able to tolerate inclement weather.

Additional Information

The ability to be flexible for on call emergencies, multi-task, ability to be a team player at all times, good problem solving skills and complete projects on a timely basis.
