Job summary

Georg Fischer in the United States invites an attentive Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our production environment. You will help keep our facilities safe, clean, and available for use, performing routine upkeep and minor repairs while supporting a high-volume manufacturing operation.

Key duties include assembling and moving furniture, inspecting HVAC units, reporting complex maintenance needs, monitoring supplies, and assisting with special events as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Assembles, repairs, maintains and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings.
• Conducts routine visual inspection of HVAC units, replaces filters and identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to Manager.
• Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to Manager.
• Performs custodial tasks.
• Cleans oil and water spills around molding machines to keep trip and slip hazards
• Assists with structural pest control measures.
• Monitors facility maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Assists with special events, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
