Job summary

GGP, headquartered in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Facilities Technician to support operations at Park City Center. The role involves maintaining building systems, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with events and safety plans.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years in building maintenance, and a valid driver's license. OSHA 10-Hour and tech school credentials are a plus; bilingual applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• 2-year Tech School Graduate or trade certificate is a plus.
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is a plus.
• Familiar with, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook (email).
• Bilingual welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
• Operate equipment to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain interior/exterior areas including painting, plumbing, lighting, and roof.
• Assist in inventory, records, and safety data sheets management.
• Repair or modify retail merchandising units as needed.
• Assist in setup of events and mall decor installation/removal.
• Perform custodial duties and assist with snow removal when applicable.
• Follow safety policies and participate in training to maintain safe workplace.
• Assist with emergency planning and coordination with management.
• Interact with the public and tenants as needed.
