Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment near Phoenix. You will use a range of trades, read blueprints, and lead volunteers as needed to keep facilities safe and compliant.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 5 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work as part of a team. Local travel and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent required. May require a trade license.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Related experience includes painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• May have basic computer skills.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Travel: Will drive vehicle to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair organization facilities and properties.
• Repair appliances and equipment and service boilers, chillers, motors, pumps etc.
• Review maintenance records to identify recurring deficiencies.
• May troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
• Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures.
• Will drive vehicle to other locations.
