Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a Facilities Technician to ensure safety, functionality, and upkeep of multiple facilities. This on-site role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, working with contractors as needed to keep operations efficient and compliant with safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of facilities experience or related field, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in facilities or a related field (experience can be substituted for relevant technical training).
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with technical training courses.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Complete basic maintenance tasks assigned by Facility Manager with minimal oversight needed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory and utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with facility users, tenants, or supervisors regarding maintenance needs and solutions.
• Interface with professional contractors for projects and tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, addressing minor cleaning or janitorial needs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and service requests to minimize disruption.
• May perform minor renovations or installations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
