Job summary

Mission Critical Group in the United States is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain safety, functionality, and upkeep of company facilities, supporting multiple sites as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to work orders, coordinate with managers and contractors, and help ensure a clean, safe workplace in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of facilities or related field experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Background screening may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete basic maintenance tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
  • Maintain inventory and use tools safely and effectively.
  • Keep records of completed work, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with facility users, tenants, or supervisors regarding maintenance needs and solutions.
  • Interface with professional contractors for projects and tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, addressing minor cleaning or janitorial needs.
  • Respond promptly to work orders and service requests to minimize disruption.
  • May perform minor renovations or installations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and upkeep of all company facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is expected to be proactive and hands-on, with the ability to support multiple facilities as needed, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Required knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in facilities or a related field (experience can be substituted for relevant technical training).
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with technical training courses. Advanced education is a plus, but not critical.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).

Education

  • High school diploma or GED, Required
  • Technical certification or associate degree, preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Regular working at heightsutilizingscaffolding, ladders, or scissor-lift equipment.
  • Ability to work comfortably outdoors in the construction yard during final weatherproofing.
  • Continuous manual dexterity for handling structural fasteners, tools, and industrial caulking systems.
