Job summary

SAGE is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep multiple NYC locations safe, functional, and welcoming. The role involves hands-on maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs, along with preventive maintenance and regulatory compliance.

The technician will manage work orders, coordinate vendors, and support onboarding and office operations. Ideal candidates communicate well, stay organized, and prioritize safety.

Qualifications

• Proactive and self‑directed, with strong organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to travel between NYC locations and communicate effectively via text message and Microsoft Teams.
• Capable of maintaining accurate records, reports, and other required documentation.
• Experience with basic maintenance tasks and coordinating with vendors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate basic painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs.
• Maintain working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, fire alarm panels, sprinkler systems, and security alarms.
• Maintain, clean, and descale commercial kitchen equipment such as hot/cold tables and dishwashers.
• Assist with cleaning and general facility upkeep as needed.
• Monitor and update the facilities ticketing/work order system; help determine service priorities.
• Coordinate and accompany vendors during site visits; document outcomes.
