JOB SUMMARY: The Facilities Technician's primary role is to perform and support facility operations with a strong emphasis on lawnand grounds maintenance, ensuring company properties are safe, well-maintained, and professionally presented. In addition, this position provides work required in the areas of safety, security, facility maintenance, fleet operations, emergency preparedness, warehousing, shipping and receiving, electronics testing, and inventory control. The Facilities/Warehouse Technician is also responsible for performing any other duties necessary to support and facilitate the department’s overall responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

(include but are not limited to)

• Performs duties associated with buildings, grounds, furniture maintenance and furniture moving
• Provides, as needed, vehicle maintenance and vehicle transportation to and from service vendors
• General facilities maintenance duties in various work locations, including building, lawn, and landscaping maintenance
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance and operations
• Maintains all Facilities/Warehouse Technician's equipment
• Warehousing, shipping & receiving; inventory control and transport
• On-call response for the Facilities Department
• Must comply with company safety rules and regulations at all times and report to supervision any situation in which personal safety and the safety of other employees or the general public is in danger of being compromised
• Provides prompt, courteous service to all internal and external customers
• Prioritizes and addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner, providing follow-up and developing cooperative relationships
• Assists team members in completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service
• Orients new co-workers and actively support team development
• Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve work processes and financial performance
• Assists in design and implementation of quality improvement initiatives on departmental and organizational levels
• Meets deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

• Stores, secures, conducts electronic testing, and organizes materials and equipment
• Receives and unloads materials; inspects and matches materials to carrier bill of lading before accepting shipment
• Performs physical inventory or cycle counting as needed
