Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis is seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to maintain a residential treatment campus and ensure smooth daily operations. You will inspect facilities, assist with renovations, and address technical issues as they arise.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and, if you are in recovery, a minimum of one year of sobriety. Strong problem-solving and carpentry know-how are valued as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Innovative, strong worker with ability to problem solve and multitask.
• General knowledge of carpentry and repair.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect facility, equipment and property for defects.
• Assist with any building renovations/ repairs, both interior and exterior.
• Assist with any technical difficulties (video calls, internet service, equipment maintenance etc.).
• Perform outside custodial duties (gardening, snow removal etc.).
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists to ensure proper building and equipment maintenance.
