Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Facilities Technician 4 for a modern manufacturing environment. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems across electrical, HVAC, and plumbing disciplines, with journeyman-level expertise and a broad technical skill set.

You will perform preventive maintenance, analyze BAS data, read blueprints, manage work orders in a CMMS, and pursue safety and energy-efficiency goals. Weekday shifts with some scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level expertise in at least one core trade (Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing) with 5+ years in facilities maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED with two years of trades schooling in electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC.
• Universal Technician certification for CFCs and refrigerant handling knowledge.
• 4+ years in commercial/industrial/manufacturing maintenance focusing on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• At least 2 years using CMMS/PM software to manage work orders and PM schedules.
• 2 years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and RTU performance monitoring.
• Strong ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems and equipment (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing).
• Master HVAC fundamentals, including system components, electrical wiring, and refrigerant handling.
• Analyze complex system issues using BAS, blueprints, schematics, readings to identify root causes.
• Execute preventive maintenance for HVACR and chiller systems with proper tools and materials.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Maintain electrical systems including low/medium voltage and lighting per safety standards.
• Install and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures; maintain doors, gates, and safety systems.
• Conduct daily start-up procedures for fire pumps, water heaters, boilers, elevators, compressors.
• Complete miscellaneous repairs (painting, carpentry, hardware) for clean, safe facilities.
• Utilize CMMS/PM to schedule and document maintenance; track work orders.
• Monitor RTU performance via BAS and adjust for efficiency.
• Read/dinterpret drawings, work orders, sketches, manuals to plan tasks.
• Respond to emergencies and work at accelerated pace when needed.
• Follow safety procedures including refrigerant handling and electrical safety.
• Communicate status and needs with team and stakeholders.
• Remain flexible for additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
