The role also includes training staff, reviewing work orders, and ensuring inventory and safety compliance.

Candidates should have five years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Texas Driver License.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required and education verification will be conducted.
  • Requires minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
  • May require technical certification or licensing related to the job, as specified on posting details. Texas Driver License required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work assignments with manager and inspects work in progress and completed work.
  • Performs duties of carpenter, painter, plumber, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and/or exterior maintenance technician and assists other shops as needed.
  • May provide training and technical direction to other maintenance staff and offer instruction in safety procedures and policy compliance.
  • Reviews work orders and coordinates work with customers on campus.
  • Responsible for staff timesheets; prepares management and work request reports.
  • Assures adequate inventory of tools, equipment and supplies to achieve unit objectives.
  • May be considered essential personnel and may be assigned during emergencies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
