Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a tech-school certificate and 1–2 years of related experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of regulatory codes.

Qualifications

• Certificate from school of technology or college.
• One-two years related experience and/or training in specialty areas or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates able mechanical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of regulatory codes and standards.
• Ability to provide orientation training as preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boilers and related equipment; monitor safety and efficiency.
• Maintain and repair building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, nurse call, fire alarm, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep PM records; troubleshoot problems.
• Assist in training of colleagues and share knowledge.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed; respond to service requests.
