Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This 2nd shift role runs 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with rotating on-call weekends, and pays $23.00/hour or higher plus $1.00/hour shift differential.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns, maintain and modify equipment, study recurring failures, service RTUs, perform belt tightenings, and manage inventory. Woodworking projects may be included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in manufacturing.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out-Tag-Out practices.
• Ability to thread pipes and solder copper pipes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities, including fabricating parts and assemblies.
• Follow up on recurring facility-oriented failures to find solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials for building and manufacturing operations.
• Woodworking projects.

This is a 2nd shift role (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Rotating on-call weekends (minimum 2 hours paid if called in)

Pay:

$23.00/hour or higher, depending on experience + additional $1.00/hour shift differential

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities to include fabricating parts and assemblies.
