Job summary

Sheridan in Minnesota is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This 2nd shift role runs 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns, maintain and rebuild equipment, and manage routine facility tasks such as RTU maintenance, belt tightening, and inventory. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of manufacturing mechanical

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understand Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
• Ability to thread pipe and solder copper pipes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities to include fabricating parts and assemblies.
• Follow up on and study recurring facility-oriented failures in an effort to find solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building and manufacturing.
• Wood working projects.

Sheridan is hiring a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This is a 2nd shift role (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Rotating on-call weekends (minimum 2 hours paid if called in)

Pay:

$23.00/hour or higher, depending on experience + additional $1.00/hour shift differential

What You’ll Do:
