Job summary

Kendal at Hanover is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to maintain, inspect, and repair building systems. You will support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

The role operates Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM with a rotating weekend/holiday call schedule. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, PTO, onsite amenities, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Technical education in HVAC/refrigeration or building systems.
• 3–5 years of HVAC or facilities maintenance experience with electrical/plumbing knowledge.
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license and insurability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical systems.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to use computers for building systems documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 150 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment incl. air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, VFDs, and controls.
• Utilize infrared thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound, and motor testing to improve reliability.
• Operate, monitor, and optimize building systems including BMS and fire/security systems.
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs and install/replace fixtures.
• Conduct rounds and data collection; complete work orders in CMMS.
• Manage small to medium facility projects including planning and oversight.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance requests; support security rounds.
