Job summary

Doxim is seeking a proactive Facilities Technician II to keep production equipment and facility systems running smoothly across a three-shift operation.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain CMMS records while mentoring junior technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. A HS diploma and technical training are required; SAP and CMMS experience an asset, with opportunities for growth within a global tech-enabled team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical/associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (electrical, industrial maintenance, controls, safety) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support production equipment, plant systems, and facility infrastructure across a three-shift operation.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Maintenance Technician I employees.
  • Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems per SOPs and safety policies.
  • Diagnose complex equipment failures and determine corrective actions with minimal supervision.
  • Lead or support preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain CMMS records with detailed work, root-cause findings, and parts usage.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance, safety, reliability, and cost control.
  • Install, maintain, and modify electrical systems and fixtures; conduit and control wiring.
  • Perform advanced facility repairs including plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, masonry, and structural work.
  • Repair and calibrate tools and equipment; ensure safe use of hand/power tools.
  • Participate in emergency repairs and off-hours coverage as needed.
  • Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advanced technician supporting production equipment, plant systems, and facility infrastructure across a three-shift operation.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a team of technicians; provide guidance and informal mentoring to Maintenance Technician I employees.
  • Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems in accordance with SOPs, manufacturer specifications, and safety policies.
  • Diagnose complex equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions with minimal supervision.
  • Lead or support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain and update CMMS records, including detailed documentation of work performed, root cause findings, and parts usage.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance practices, safety, reliability, and cost control.
  • Install, maintain, and modify electrical systems and fixtures, including conduit installation and control wiring.
  • Perform advanced facility repairs including plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, masonry, and structural repairs.
  • Repair, calibrate, and maintain tools and equipment; ensure proper condition and safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Participate in emergency repairs and breakdown response activities.
  • Work across shifts and provide coverage or leadership support during off-hours as needed.
  • Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, and safety standards at all times.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school, vocational training, or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications (electrical, industrial maintenance, controls, or safety-related) are a plus.

System Knowledge

  • Advanced working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
  • SAP system experience strongly preferred.
  • Preferred experience with Pitney Bowes, Bell and Howell, and bulk printing or similar production equipment.

Physical Demand

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50-55 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (typically 8-12 hours per shift).
  • Repetitive movements including bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling.
  • Exposure to loud noise, vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particulates.

Years of experience

  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
  • Demonstrated progression beyond entry-level maintenance responsibilities
