Job summary

Orange County's Credit Union is seeking a Facilities Technician I to keep our branches and headquarters safe, functional, and inviting. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, respond to facility needs, and support a variety of building systems.

The ideal candidate has vocational training or trade schooling, 3+ years in facilities maintenance, and strong customer service. You will work independently across multiple locations, handle basic plumbing, lighting, HVAC tasks, and help with

Qualifications

• Vocational training or trade school related to facilities maintenance, construction, or building operations.
• Three or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, construction, handyman work, or related field.
• Experience with basic plumbing, lighting, painting, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs.
• Experience with work order systems and MS Office programs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections and repairs across branch locations and headquarters.
• Respond to work orders and resolve facility issues related to building systems, lighting, plumbing, furniture, and general maintenance.
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs, unclog drains, replace fixtures, and maintain restrooms and breakrooms.
• Assist with HVAC preventive maintenance, including filter replacements, vent cleaning, and basic system upkeep.
• Perform painting, patching, caulking, touch-ups, and cosmetic repairs.
• Replace lamps, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, ballasts, and other building components.
• Support office moves, furniture assembly, space reconfigurations, and equipment setup.
• Conduct site safety and compliance inspections, document findings, and maintain a safe workplace.
• Escort vendors, monitor service completion, and communicate findings to management.
• Maintain facility supply inventory and organize storage areas.
• Perform general labor tasks including lifting, carrying, cleaning, organizing, debris removal, and site cleanup.
• Install signage, artwork, hardware, and other facility-related items.
