Job summary

Bristol Tennessee City Schools is seeking a Facility Technician I - Maintenance to join our Facility Maintenance Office in Bristol. This full-time role offers benefits and a route to contribute to a high-quality learning environment.

The technician will perform groundskeeping, light repairs, and assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks while following safety protocols and training to grow their skills. The position is based on-site in Bristol, TN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance preferred.
• Ability to obtain respirator certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Performs grounds maintenance including trimming, spraying, cleanup, mulching, mowing, and playground surface replacement.
• Handles light repairs, roof maintenance, and ceiling tile replacements.
• Supports technicians with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related maintenance tasks.
• Engages in training to expand knowledge of facility operations and maintenance.
• Follows district safety procedures and uses tools, equipment, and PPE correctly.
• Responds to routine maintenance requests and supports emergency repair operations as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by leadership.
