Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is hiring a Facilities Technician I to perform maintenance, repairs and upkeep of campus facilities and grounds. This role inspects, maintains and repairs building components, furniture and equipment, working both independently and with others to keep the campus safe and functional.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of $20 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18, possess a high school diploma or GED, and obtain a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Acquire and maintain a valid Driver's License within 3 months of hire date.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed.
• Sets up and tears down equipment for institutional meetings and events.
• Escalates and documents issues according to established policies and procedures.
• Utilizes basic equipment to repair and maintain basic machinery, equipment, and facility property under close supervision to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation.
• Assists with inventory and distribution of deliveries to appropriate entities under close supervision.
• Assists with routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness.
