Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Parkside is seeking a Facilities Technician I to perform maintenance and repairs across campus facilities and grounds. You will inspect, maintain, adjust and repair interior and exterior building components, equipment and furniture, with opportunities to assist in custodial and grounds work.

The role requires independence and teamwork, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a $20/hour compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Valid Driver’s License within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades, crafts, vendors and staff with maintenance and repairs.
• Set up and tear down equipment for meetings and events.
• Escalate and document issues per policies and procedures.
• Use basic equipment to repair and maintain machinery under supervision.
• Assist with inventory and delivery distribution to relevant departments.
• Support routine facility inspections and maintain cleanliness.
