Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems across our manufacturing, warehouse, and office spaces. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to repair requests, and supports facility operations to keep our facilities running at peak performance.

The ideal candidate has broad maintenance experience, can work independently or with a team, and is proficient with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of facility/industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
• Maintain building infrastructure: doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, lighting and power systems.
• Service boilers, cooling systems, fire protection, and dock equipment.
• Repair plumbing and HVAC components; check climate controls and air handlers.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and document in CMMS.
• Ensure safety compliance per OSHA and building codes; enforce lockout/tagout.
• Document maintenance activities and coordinate with contractors.
• Maintain exterior grounds, energy efficiency, and on-call coverage.
• Respond to emergencies and support maintenance team as needed.
