Job summary

Suburban Inns Grand Rapids seeks a Facilities Technician (Maintenance) to preserve guest rooms, public spaces, and grounds in top condition. You will perform repairs, source parts, and document work orders to ensure smooth hotel operations.

You will also conduct safety checks, manage inventories, and coordinate with departments to resolve issues quickly while maintaining brand standards and a welcoming environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum knowledge to interpret information and perform arithmetic; basic computer skills.
• Minimum of one-year job-related experience required.
• Hazcom Training and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (may be completed on hire); excellent driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and ensure they feel welcome and valued.
• Perform property walk-arounds and address safety and maintenance issues.
• Establish and manage parts inventory within budget; obtain approvals for major items.
• Use Quore to record maintenance issues and complete work orders.
• Oversee daily water checks and pool/spa area cleanliness.
• Maintain security by managing keys and ensuring equipment functions properly.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as needed.
• Respond to guest complaints promptly per brand standards.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and inter-department communications.
