Job summary

Colorcon, a world leader in film coating systems and pharmaceutical manufacturing support, is seeking a Facilities Technician for its West Point, PA site. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of plant utilities including boilers, HVAC, and compressed air, in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, assisting with inspections, documenting in CMMS, and coordinating with engineers and contractors while upholding safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ year technical experience in industrial maintenance or facilities.
• Experience in GMP/pharma or food manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read P&IDs and schematics.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on boilers, HVAC, and plant utilities.
• Maintain logs for boiler operations and inspections.
• Support work orders and document in CMMS.
• Escalate issues and coordinate with external contractors.
• Respond to alarms and monitor system performance.
• Support PM and basic repairs on pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation.
• Ensure GMP and OSHA compliance; participate in audits.
• Follow LOTO and safety procedures.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in mechanical areas.
