Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Facilities Technician in Piscataway, NJ to evaluate facility issues, coordinate subcontractors, and perform routine maintenance such as replacing lightbulbs and minor plumbing repairs.

You will assist with office relocations, install fixtures, review contractor invoices, and help develop preventative maintenance routines to keep facilities efficient and safe. High school diploma required; valid driver's license needed.

Qualifications

• Completed High School Diploma required.
• Experience in a corporate facilities environment preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate issues and determine the need for subcontractor intervention.
• Schedule, escort, and monitor contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed to specifications.
• Proactively identify and address potential facility issues before they escalate.
• Respond to facilities requests from SHI management and personnel in a timely manner, including during off hours.
• Perform general maintenance, including replacing lightbulbs and making minor plumbing repairs.
• Assist with office relocations, including departmental and employee moves.
• Install and maintain office fixtures such as monitors, pictures, whiteboards, and shelves.
• Modify furniture and perform minor repairs on AV equipment.
• Review and approve contractor/vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with SOW and SHI’s purchase orders.
• Develop and maintain a consistent preventative maintenance routine to ensure facility efficiency and safety.
