Job summary

Ventana Lakes is seeking a Full-Time Facilities Technician to maintain all facilities and equipment in Sun City, AZ. You will report to the Facilities Manager and Executive Director and help plan daily and weekly activities to keep the community safe and well‑maintained.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of building and grounds maintenance, customer‑service strengths, and strong problem‑solving abilities; HVAC experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of building and grounds maintenance experience; HVAC experience preferred, but not required.
• Great customer service skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in a residential community (Preferred).
• Flexible scheduling, weekdays/weekends/holidays, and response to after‑hours emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all facilities, including but not limited to all equipment and property.
• Inspect all facilities and equipment as needed for operations and potential hazardous conditions.
• Report any problems to the Facilities Manager immediately.
• Work on daily and weekly plan activities.
• Assess urgency of work and recommend priority to the Facilities Manager.
• Keep, maintain, mark and secure community property (tools).
• Be reasonably available for after‑hour emergencies, including occasional weekend rotation.
• Check and inspect all community trails daily.
• Maintain inventory of all supplies needed for the community as approved by the community budget.
• Conduct regular maintenance of facilities.
• Assess materials needed for repair issues in advance and consolidate procurement time & travel.
• Monitor all restroom facilities and supplies.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of maintenance office, supply shed, and immediate yard area.
