Job summary

Associated Asset Management (AAM), LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a hands-on role at a Meridian community. The technician will maintain buildings and systems, perform minor plumbing/electrical work, and oversee pool and common areas to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

The role requires 2 years in maintenance, basic tool proficiency, and a valid driver's license. Certification in pool maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School or better.
  • 2 years: Full time, paid, professional experience working in a maintenance role, preferably within an HOA or property management environment.
  • Current Pool Certification (Pool Technician preferred; Operator Certificate considered; training for right candidate) and valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain buildings, building systems, common areas and other physical assets.
  • Minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting, drywall, pressure washing tasks.
  • Oversee maintenance of pool and spa; maintain patio and pool area furniture and spaces.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance problems and perform service requests as assigned by Community Manager.
  • Operate and store maintenance equipment; coordinate with janitorial staff for sanitizing spaces.

We’re Hiring a Maintenance Technician!

We’re searching for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician who enjoys working in a beautiful onsite community and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

Ovation at Meridian is a vibrant residential community offering residents a comfortable, connected, and elevated lifestyle. The community features resort-style amenities, inviting social spaces, fitness and wellness areas, and beautifully maintained outdoor spaces designed for relaxation, recreation, and connection.

You’ll be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, building systems, common areas, amenities, and other physical assets—helping create a safe, welcoming, and exceptional experience for residents.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Partners with the Community Manager to maintain buildings, building systems, common areas and other physical assets on the property.
  • Perform duties related to minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting, dry wall, pressure washing, and any other maintenance needs related to the designated property.
  • Regular oversight on maintenance and cleaning of pool and spa.
  • Maintain patio and pool area including patio, patio furniture, ramadas and courts.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance problems to identify issues and necessary repairs.
  • Complete grounds work, which includes trash clean up, blowing and sweeping.
  • Complete maintenance service requests as assigned by the Community Manager.
  • Properly operate, maintain and store all maintenance equipment.
  • Overseeing and maintaining the cleaning and sanitizing of clubhouse, office, bathrooms, and fitness center, in tandem with full‑time janitorial service.
  • Restocking paper products and trash liners in clubhouse, fitness center, office, and bathrooms.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Works indoors and outdoors.
  • Requires physical ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, squat and bend.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, in crowded areas and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work on uneven surfaces, in hot, cold and wet conditions, climb and stand on ladders and scaffold at heights of up to 50 feet.
  • Able to handle various manual and power tools.
  • May work independently or as part of a team.

Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical, pool equipment, painting, dry wall and other maintenance skills necessary to complete assigned tasks. Current Pima County Pool Certification (Pool Technician Certificate preferred, will consider Operator Certificate, and will consider training for right candidate). Valid Driver’s License.
