Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking a Facilities Worker III at the Winchester campus to maintain campus cleanliness and facilities. This full-time role supports student, faculty, and staff daily operations with a second shift from 10am to 6pm.

Under supervision of the Campus Director, duties include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and offices; minor repairs; grounds upkeep; and moving equipment for events. Benefits are included under the college's total rewards package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of classrooms and offices such as dusting, trash removal, cleaning windows, vacuuming.
• Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of restrooms.
• Performs minor repairs (i.e. changing light bulbs) and assists maintenance technician when needed.
• Maintains grounds by weeding mulch beds, planting and watering, trash pickup, and snow removal.
• Moves furniture or equipment for events, meetings, and classes.
• Performs floor maintenance such as shampooing carpet, sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Performs painting when needed.
• Maintains standard safety regulations, is responsible for MSDS sheets, and organizes hazardous waste pickup.
• Responsible for ordering custodial/janitorial supplies.
• Lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.
