Job summary

Gateway Community & Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Worker for the Edgewood Campus Maintenance & Operations team. The role focuses on custodial tasks, basic maintenance, and groundskeeping to keep campuses clean, safe, and welcoming for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 5:15 pm–10:15 pm, with a maximum of 24 hours weekly. Requires a High School diploma or GED, 6 months related experience, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 6 months of related experience.
• Ability to communicate using auditory and visual methods.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience engaging with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned facility areas and restrooms per supervisor schedule.
• Perform basic janitorial duties.
• Perform grounds-keeping as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment for students and staff.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
