Job summary

Open Systems Technologies in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain, repair and operate electrical, plumbing, control and HVAC systems across two sites. You will work both independently and as part of a team under the direction of the Senior Facilities Technician.

The role covers preventive maintenance, handling service calls, and assisting on small to mid-size projects. You may lead small projects and participate in on-call rotations while ensuring safety and reliability

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Basic software skills: Outlook, word processing, spreadsheets.
0-1 year in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Control Systems.
Completion of or equivalent to apprenticeship in the primary skill area.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
Willing to be on-call and adjust shifts for emergencies.

Responsibilities

Perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations in assigned areas.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, controls, and HVAC systems.
Lead small projects or assist Senior Facilities Technician.
Conduct service calls and respond to emergencies as needed.
Check work of less experienced team members.
Participate in On-Call rotation and support critical systems.
