Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain the buildings, systems, and grounds that support daily operations. You will inspect and repair electrical and plumbing systems and perform general building maintenance to keep the plant safe, reliable, and productive.

You will work with a skilled team and trusted vendors to keep the facility running smoothly. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:00am to 2:00pm, with potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years in related field.
• Maintains Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure; develop preventative maintenance schedules.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure safety and building-code compliance.
• Diagnose issues with building systems and equipment, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Respond to plant-related emergencies, such as power outages or weather events.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
• Collaborate with other departments to address plant needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for all associates.
• Work all required work schedules.
