Job summary

Victory Life Church in Durant, OK is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager in keeping church spaces ready for services and events. The role focuses on routine maintenance, setup/teardown, and timely repairs to ensure safe, functional spaces for worship and activities.

You will assist with equipment operation and preventative tasks while adhering to safety guidelines and contributing to a well-organized facility team.

Qualifications

• Active follower of Jesus, committed to the culture and values of VLC.
• Previous experience in facility maintenance or related trades preferred.
• Experience with power tools and basic equipment is a plus.
• Aptitude for manual labor and safety-conscious teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager with routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting to keep facilities safe and functional.
• Set up, tear down, and room prep for services, events, and activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Operate and maintain facility tools and systems following safety guidelines.
• Respond to maintenance requests and issue resolution as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
