Victory Life Church in Durant, OK is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager in keeping church spaces ready for services and events. The role focuses on routine maintenance, setup/teardown, and timely repairs to ensure safe, functional spaces for worship and activities.

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time
Supports campus operations by directly assisting the Facilities Manager in maintaining and preparing
spaces for services, events, and handling repairs and logistics.
Assist the Facilities Manager in performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure church facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Assist with the setup, teardown, and room preparation for church services, events, and special activities.
Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
Operate and maintain facility equipment, tools, and systems in accordance with safety guidelines.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related issues as assigned.

Compensation for this position is generally structured around $14 per hour. Depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications, the final offer may be above or below this amount, subject to pre-established budgetary constraints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequently lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. The role involves prolonged standing and walking, as well as frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and the use of tools or equipment. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and mechanical hazards. The employee must be able to safely operate equipment and maintain awareness of surroundings in a physically active environment.
