Job summary

The City of Horseshoe Bay is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance of City buildings and related systems. The role independently evaluates routine facility problems, determines repair methods, and coordinates with licensed contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience performing building, facility, construction, property, or general maintenance work.
• Valid Texas driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on City buildings and facilities.
• Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot building issues and determine repair approaches.
• Perform general repairs including carpentry, painting, drywall, and hardware.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related system maintenance as trained.
• Coordinate contractor work and monitor contracted facility projects.
• Maintain records of work performed and identified deficiencies.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE during maintenance activities.
