Job summary

City of East Point seeks a technical laborer to repair and maintain City buildings. You will coordinate with contractors, process work orders, and perform basic electrical and plumbing tasks to keep facilities safe and functional.

This role requires a high school diploma, two years of maintenance experience, and a valid Georgia driver’s license. You will work under supervision in a dynamic municipal environment with indoor/outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of experience in building maintenance and technical training; must possess a valid State of Georgia Driver’s license; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Acquires and coordinates with contractors for maintenance work on City buildings.
• Receives and completes work orders related to building maintenance.
• Performs basic electrical and plumbing work.
• Sets up meeting rooms for City Council meetings and other City functions.
• Evaluates heating and air-conditioning units in City buildings.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.
