Job summary

ImpactLife is seeking a Facilities Technician to join our Davenport, IA team. The role focuses on maintaining facilities, equipment, and vehicles, coordinating preventive maintenance, and working with vendors and staff to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related maintenance experience, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a valid driver’s license with DOT certification or the ability to obtain one before hire. This is a full-time on-site position.”

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalence considered.
  • 1–2 years of building, grounds and/or fleet maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License with ability to be insured; DOT Medical Certification card or ability to obtain before hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain CGMP compliance through performance and documentation per SOPs.
  • Conduct competency testing as required.
  • Notify Director of Facilities of non-compliance issues with SOPs/policies.
  • Ensure general condition and repair of all sites (lighting, paint, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, furnishings, generator).
  • Handle routine maintenance at all locations ensuring work is complete and items are in good condition.
  • Investigate facility problems, prepare reports/cost estimates, and recommend solutions.
  • Provide emergency off-hour and weekend support including repairs/troubleshooting.

Facilities Technician are responsible for ensuring the general upkeep of facilities, equipment, and company vehicles. The Technician would ensure appropriate preventative maintenance measures are taken and coordinate any needed maintenance work, including repairs due to damage. The Technician will regularly work with outside vendors and managers and staff in all departments and facilities as well as vendors.

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation and occasional extended hours for special projects.

Specialist Responsibilities can include:
  • Maintain compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) by performance and documentation according to the SOPs.
  • Perform competency testing as required.
  • Notify Director, Facilities of non-compliance issues as soon as discovered, including SOPs or policies that do not reflect current FDA or AABB requirements.
  • Ensure the general condition and repair of all sites including proper interior/exterior lighting, paint, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, furnishings, generator, etc.
  • Handle routine maintenance at all locations ensuring work is complete and all items are in excellent condition and working order.
  • Investigate all facility problems reported. Analyze problems, prepare reports and cost estimates, and recommend solutions.
  • Provide emergency off-hour and weekend support including emergency repairs/troubleshooting of facilities and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of demonstrated work experience and education may be considered.
  • 1-2 years' experience with building, grounds and or fleet maintenance preferred
  • The ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent stooping, reaching, sitting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Current and valid Driver's License with the ability to be insured by our carrier.
  • Hold a DOT Medical Certification card or the ability to obtain one prior to hire.
