Job summary

Goken, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, seeks a Facilities Technician to oversee the safe, reliable operation of a battery research/manufacturing facility and its infrastructure. You will lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities to maximize uptime.

Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC, dry rooms, electrical utilities, exhaust/abatement, compressed air, vacuum, and life-safety systems; coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance; managing contractors; and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years' experience as a facilities technician in lab/manufacturing.
• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, or calibration experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with safety procedures, PPE, hazard identification, and lockout/tagout.
• Comfort working at heights inspecting rooftop equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Independent worker who can manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a battery research/manufacturing facility and its supporting infrastructure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot critical facility systems including HVAC, dry rooms, electrical utilities, exhaust/abatement, compressed air, vacuum, and life-safety systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and track preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and facility reliability.
• Monitor facility performance, identify issues, and drive timely corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.
• Manage contractors, vendors, facilities personnel, and service providers supporting maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and university requirements, including inspections, hazard mitigation, chemical handling, and emergency preparedness.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and manufacturing operations by providing and coordinating required facility utilities and infrastructure.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, training programs, and stakeholder communications regarding facility status, maintenance activities, risks, and operational readiness.
