Job summary

Goken America, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, is seeking a Facilities Technician to ensure the safe, reliable operation of a battery research/manufacturing facility and its supporting infrastructure. You will plan preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC and life-safety systems, coordinate contractors, and maintain thorough documentation to support ongoing operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years as a Facilities Technician in lab/manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or calibration experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems and safe operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Own safe, reliable operation of battery research/manufacturing facilities and supporting infrastructure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, dry rooms, electrical utilities, exhaust/abatement, compressed air, vacuum, and life-safety systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and track preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Monitor facility performance, identify issues, and drive timely corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
• Manage contractors, vendors, facilities staff, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and university requirements including inspections and hazard mitigation.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and manufacturing operations by coordinating required utilities.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, training, and stakeholder communications regarding facility status and readiness.
