Job summary

Velocitor Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dependable Facilities Technician for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 2:00 PM–11:00 PM). You will maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our building, performing repairs from walls to lighting and basic carpentry.

The role requires hands-on work, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate tools safely, and respond to facility requests; previous custodial or maintenance experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years in building or facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas, restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and break areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean windows, empty trash, and perform housekeeping duties.
• Inspect building, equipment, and facility systems for maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform general building maintenance: repairs to walls, doors, windows, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs, ballasts, ceiling tiles, and other fixtures as needed.
• Complete painting, pressure washing, and minor carpentry to maintain facility appearance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures.
• Assist with exterior building maintenance and groundskeeping.
• Support facility setup and cleanup for meetings and events.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Operate tools and maintenance equipment safely and in accordance with policies.
• Respond promptly to facility-related requests and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist in other facility-related duties as assigned.

Velocitor Solutions is a mobility solutions software development company with an 80,000+ square foot facility that houses our Development and Project Services teams, Support Center, Warehouse, Fitness Center, Café, and multiple employee collaboration spaces.

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to serve as our primary Facilities Technician during the 3rd shift Monday through Friday. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our building during non-traditional business hours. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional who enjoys a variety of work and is comfortable performing everything from repairing walls, replacing light fixtures, painting, and pressure washing to assisting with housekeeping and facility cleanup as needed.

The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, consisting of four (5) eight-hour shifts with a one-hour unpaid meal break.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and employee break areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean windows, empty trash, and perform other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Inspect the building, equipment, and facility systems to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform general building maintenance, including repairs to walls, doors, windows, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other facility components.

• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Facilities Supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Operate tools and maintenance equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Respond promptly to facility-related requests while maintaining a safe working environment.
• Assist in other facility-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Working Conditions

Primary work location is the Velocitor Solutions corporate office located at 851 Blairhill Road, Charlotte, NC.

This position routinely works in office, warehouse, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, cleaning chemicals, loud noises, and maintenance equipment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.

Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. Travel is not expected for this position.
