Job summary

gategroup is seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to sustain a 24/7 facilities operation across multiple properties. You will manage contractors, perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, ability to multi-task, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional outdoor duties. This is a full-time, on-site position in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires at least 2 full years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain Airport Transport Authority badge.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and push/pull 50–75 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, oversees and may assist assigned contractors ensuring safety, quality and cleanliness of work performed.
• Performs building repairs including drywall, paint, flooring, doors and hardware.
• Performs plumbing repairs (faucets, sinks, toilets, drains, valves).
• Performs exterior repairs (irrigation, signs, fence, roof, siding).
• Conducts daily site inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on building systems; creates check sheets.
• Reports to Maintenance Coordinator any problems found.
• Repairs HVAC systems including boilers, a/c, VAV boxes, fans, controls and filters.
• Performs electrical repairs (lamps, ballasts, switches, wiring).
• Manages work requests, inventories tools/supplies, and creates purchase orders.
• Oversees office furniture moves and facilities relocations.
