Summary

This role supports store operations by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general trade work across a variety of building systems and equipment. It is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, replacing defective parts, and completing tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and basic structural repairs. Technicians use a wide range of tools to ensure equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine, preventive maintenance to ensure our stores and equipment continue to operate properly.
• Perform basic trade functions including electrical, plumbing, assembly, installation, or repair of wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
• Review gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure a machine is working properly.
• Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in food service.
• Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties.

Role Requirements

• This role is cell phone eligible and supports a 24/7 operation. Occasional after‑hours, weekend, or holiday work may be required to respond to urgent issues or service calls.
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
• Lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to 150 pounds.
• Climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Working in varying environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, heat, cold, noise).
• Using fine motor skills for detailed tasks such as wiring, repairs, or adjustments.
• Occasional use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, or respirators.

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
