PanCare is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all PanCare properties across multiple counties. The position ensures that the buildings and grounds are well-maintained, the infrastructure is in good condition, and all systems are operating safely and efficiently. In addition, the role involves managing cleanliness, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance, addressing facility-related issues promptly, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Facilities Technician may perform HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance tasks that do not require a state contractor license in accordance with Florida Statutes. This includes tasks such as replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures; unclogging drains; repairing leaking faucets; replacing filters and belts; and performing other general system upkeep that does not alter the original system design or required permitted work.

Your responsibilities include the following:

  • Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to assess and identify potential issues, ensuring that repairs or renovations are carried out promptly to maintain the integrity and safety of the facility.

  • Perform allowable HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance tasks under Florida law, including but not limited to:

  • Replacing air filters, belts, and thermostats.

  • Cleaning condensate drains and coils.

  • Replacing electrical receptacles, light switches, ballasts, and fixtures.

  • Clearing clogged drains, fixing leaking faucets, and replacing toilets or sink hardware (without altering piping).

  • Coordinate all utility installations and renovations, including overseeing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other essential systems to ensure compliance with standards and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols, including fire safety, emergency procedures, and facility security, to protect both staff and visitors.

  • Collaborate with clinic and administration staff to guarantee that lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural elements are functioning properly and meet the daily needs of the facility.

  • Maintain an adequate inventory of maintenance supplies and forecast future needs to ensure timely ordering of parts, tools, and equipment required for efficient building upkeep.

  • Participate in all safety programs, including safety training, fire drills, and disaster response protocols, and may be assigned to an emergency response team to handle crises effectively.

  • Perform Painting and Touch-Ups: Complete interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, and touch-up work at all clinic locations as needed to maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or a related field, with a proven track record in managing building systems, maintenance teams, or similar responsibilities.

  • Experience in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building systems.

  • Experience managing teams, projects, and vendors effectively.

  • Time management, record keeping, and inventory management.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and emergency preparedness.

  • Financial Acumen: Managing budgets and controlling costs.
