Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Dallas/Fort Worth is seeking a Facilities Technician to service the Peppa Pig Theme Park. You will troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, electronics, and mechanical systems to ensure minimum downtime and top guest experience.

The role includes lighting, painting, data cabling, and exhibit setup, with hands-on maintenance of audio-visual equipment and safety-compliant operations. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • At least two years of service industry experience in a technical/themed environment to include animation, automation, hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical/electronics, and networks.
  • Experience of maintaining flexibility and the highest level of service.
  • Flexible scheduling availability (weekend availability required).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
  • Minimize downtime to maximize guest experience.
  • Custodial duties, re-lamping & lighting systems, painting and wall repair, tech equipment, shipping and receiving as well as exhibit setup and takedown. Maintain and troubleshoot A/V equipment.
  • Install and/or replace light bulbs, projector lamps, doors, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain attraction systems, rides, and equipment.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace control devices.
  • Complete “Preventative Maintenance” tasks (Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, etc.).
  • Repair and/or paint interior walls, hang pictures; assemble furniture.
  • Set-up and install data cables as needed; install and repair computer outlets and computer bundles.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned. Corrects or reports any safety or fire hazards.
  • Observes safe working practices, including maintaining storage areas clean, organized and in safe condition.
  • Able to set-up and operate various hand tools and power equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the team

Facilities Technician - Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas/Fort Worth

What You'll Do:
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all areas of the attraction including HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems as well as themed attractions.
  • Apply hands-on knowledge and experience to tackle problems to sustain minimal downtime of themed attractions for the maximum guest experience.
