What You’ll Do
Maintenance and Repairs

Complete assigned work orders and routine preventive maintenance using established instructions and checklists.

Perform basic repairs, including replacing filters, light bulbs, hardware, ceiling tiles, and other approved facility components.

Inspect doors, fixtures, flooring, walls, drains, lighting, and common areas for damage, leaks, unusual noises, or unsafe conditions.

Safely use basic hand and power tools within the limits of your training and authorization.

Assist maintenance technicians with equipment moves, repairs, installations, and shutdown activities.

Facility Support

Keep maintenance rooms, storage areas, workspaces, and assigned exterior areas organized and free of avoidable hazards.

Support grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal, spill response, waste handling, and material-moving tasks when assigned and trained.

Monitor maintenance supplies and notify the Operations Manager when commonly used parts, tools, or consumable items need to be reordered.

Provide courteous facility support to production and office employees and communicate the status of assigned requests.

Special Projects

Assist with workspace moves, facility improvements, 6S activities, seasonal preparation, inventory counts, and site or employee-event setup.

Gather measurements, photos, materials, and status information to support project planning.

Coordinate basic tasks with employees or vendors as directed.

Complete assigned projects safely and on schedule while communicating progress, delays, and follow-up needs.

Environmental Health and Safety Support

Complete assigned safety checks, documentation, and corrective actions under the direction of EHS or facilities leadership.

Inspect exits, aisles, walking surfaces, doors, lighting, housekeeping, safety signage, emergency equipment, PPE stations, and the visible condition of safety systems.

Participate in risk assessments and job hazard analyses by sharing observations, identifying hazards, and documenting findings.

Immediately report injuries, incidents, near misses, spills, damaged safety equipment, and unsafe conditions.

Assist with fact gathering and approved corrective actions as directed.

Help maintain access to Safety Data Sheets, chemical labels and inventories, and orderly hazardous-material or waste-storage areas when trained.

Support safety-training logistics, attendance records, PPE supplies, and emergency-supply checks.

Use lockout/tagout and other hazardous-energy controls only when trained and authorized.

What Will Help You Succeed

High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Up to two years of experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, warehousing, manufacturing, groundskeeping, or a similar hands-on environment is helpful but not required.

Basic familiarity with common hand tools and a willingness to learn the safe use of approved power tools.

Ability to read work orders, equipment labels, safety signs, and straightforward written instructions.

Basic math, communication, and recordkeeping skills.

Reliable attendance and the ability to follow directions, ask questions, and complete routine tasks independently after training.

Strong attention to detail, organization, teamwork, and respectful communication.

The judgment to recognize potential problems and promptly escape work outside your training or authorization.

Preferred Experience

Experience completing preventive maintenance, repair, custodial, groundskeeping, or work-order tasks in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
