Job summary

Ourvita is seeking a Facilities Technician I to join our Minneapolis team. This developmental role assists in the repair of facility equipment and collaborates with experienced technicians across multiple tasks.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with initial training on the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) for 3–6 weeks. Responsibilities include installing/removing office furniture, maintaining maintenance records, repairing flooring and walls, and assisting with

Responsibilities

• Installs and removes office furniture.
• Maintains maintenance records for facilities related projects.
• Repairs flooring and walls as necessary.
• Assists with plumbing installation and maintenance.
• Assists with airline installation and maintenance.
• Assists with the installation of ductwork.
• Completes painting projects as necessary.
• Changes air filters inside and outside of rooms.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment such as checking oil, inspecting wear parts, air filters, etc.
• Complies with company safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Training is during 1st shift, average 3 to 6 weeks depending on individual: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This position is responsible for assisting in the repair of facility equipment. This role is developmental and will continue to learn and assist more experienced faciltiy technicians in multiple work assignments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
• Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience / Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-3 years experience working in a facilities maintenance role.

Skills Required:

• Must have moderate mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out interactions furnished in written or oral form.
• Ability to define problems and establish facts.
• Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
• Ability to work on cross functional teams and independently as necessary.
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
