Job summary

Ralph Lauren Corporation seeks a Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of our premises. You will perform cleaning, basic repairs, assist with events, and report safety issues to ensure a safe, functional environment across facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to use common hand and power tools. Prior maintenance experience is helpful, and physical stamina is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubber operation and waste removal.
• Help with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, walkways, and exterior spaces.
• Support basic groundskeeping activities such as de-icing sidewalks and walk paths.
• Assist with simple painting and touch-up work.
• Help organize and maintain storage areas and maintenance supplies.
• Escort vendors as needed.
• Visit prep.
• Inspection of 3rd party providers.
• Report facility issues or safety concerns to lead and/or management.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Handle minor repairs as directed.
• Keep maintenance tools and equipment organized and in good condition.
• Assist with receiving and putting away of inventory.

The Facilities technician provides essential support to the facilities & maintenance team by assisting with basic maintenance tasks, cleaning duties, and general upkeep of the building premises to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for all occupants.

• Technical/vocational training is a plus

• Ability to use common hand and power tools
• Ability to qualify for powered equipment operation
• Basic understanding of building systems
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with individuals and groups with varied educational, technical, and operational backgrounds
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, sit, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to work heights of 40 ft or more, ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
• Must have visual acuity, corrected or uncorrected which allows close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception.
• Entry level position, though prior maintenance experience is helpful
