NEXXTA is a U.S.-based manufacturing partner with four Great Lakes facilities delivering precision, speed, and scale. The Facility Technician role installs, repairs, and maintains site facilities, working with all departments to meet business needs.

You will perform preventative maintenance and support building systems to keep operations reliable. Join a team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with EHS programs and local regulations.

Qualifications

• A technician degree or equivalent job experience in maintenance is required.
• Minimum 2 years of related technical experience.
• Consistently acts in an ethical, open, honest, trustworthy, and truthful manner.
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance systems (Preventive, Corrective, Proactive).
• Possess a high level of energy, motivated to achieve full potential.

Responsibilities

• Remove, replace, and/or repair building and equipment and their working components.
• Maintain plant property and grounds conditions, including storm damage, trash removal, and snow removal.
• Maintain key performance defined metrics as MTTR and MTBF.
• Conduct assigned preventative maintenance at regular intervals and fulfill recordkeeping.
• Perform minor electrical and other utilities installation
• Support the operation of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, heating systems, ventilation systems, and cooling systems
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper quality of work and efficiency.
• Track and execute reactive activities associated with facility maintenance.
• Implement and optimize efficient and effective continuous improvement workflows.
• Demonstrate a culture of high performance and collaboration
• Maintain compliance with EHS programs and ensure adherence to local regulations and Techniplas policy

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Facility Technician installs, repairs, and maintains the site facilities. This role works in cooperation with all departments to provide excellent customer service and meet business needs.

Physical Demands

• Work requiring moderate speed and a very high degree of accuracy.
• Work requires the ability to walk, sit, stand, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Work involving medium to heavy types of physical exertion (i.e., bending, lifting, squatting, and twisting) with average-weight materials or equipment.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 or more pounds.

Work environment

• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is periodically exposed to vibration.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moderate heat and cold.
• Works where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
