Job summary

Techniplas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain equipment at our Dalton, GA facility. The role requires collaboration with all departments to meet customer needs and to provide excellent service.

This position demands regular attendance (minimum 40 hours/week) and hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. The successful candidate will read blueprints and perform preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related work experience; reading blueprints; pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC.
• Able to do basic mathematics.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance at regular intervals and keep records.
• Maintain plant property and grounds including storm damage, trash removal, and snow.
• Make pickups and deliveries for the maintenance team.
• Perform minor electrical and other utilities installations.
• Perform general facility maintenance as needed.
• Remove, replace, and repair building and equipment and their components.
• Assist operations of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, heating systems, ventilation and cooling systems.
• Support the plant with all sanitation needs.
• Follow SOPs to ensure quality and efficiency.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Maintenance Technician installs, repairs, and maintains equipment in the facility. This role works in cooperation with all departments in order to provide excellent customer service and meet customer needs. This position requires regular and recurrent attendance – minimum of 40 hours per week.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct assigned preventative maintenance at regular intervals and fulfill recordkeeping.
• Maintain plant property and grounds conditions, including storm damage, trash removal, and snow removal.
• Make pick-ups and deliveries for maintenance team using company vehicles.
• Perform minor electrical and other utilities installations.
• Perform facility maintenance as needed.
• Remove, replace, and/or repair building and equipment and their working components.
• Support the operation of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, heating systems, ventilation systems and cooling systems.
• Support the plant with all sanitation needs.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper quality of work and efficiency.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

• Six months or more of related work experience required. (Additional education may be substituted for experience.) Must be able to read blueprints and possess prior experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC and general maintenance
• Able to do basic mathematics
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Able to understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
