Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a full-time Facilities maintenance technician for our Naval Electronics center in Johnstown, PA. The role focuses on setting up, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems at our onsite Computing and Networks Center of Excellence.

You will follow a preventive maintenance schedule, perform service calls, diagnose issues, and ensure safety procedures and proper documentation are followed.

Qualifications

• High school or trade school diploma; license preferred in a specific specialty.
• Working knowledge of building codes and OSHA requirements.
• Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedule for regular and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and inspect building systems and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and organize storage areas.
• Complete paperwork for purchases and work orders; ensure accuracy before submission.
• Adhere to safety procedures in all tasks.
• Suggest cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within our Naval Electronics' Computing and Networks Center of Excellence located in Johnstown, PA.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed as required
• Perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations as directed
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as required
• Maintain an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organized
• Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignments
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completion
• Ensure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work orders
• May recommend cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safety
• Perform other related tasks or special duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school or trade school diploma; prefer license in specific specialty with a minimum of 0+ years of experience
• Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures
• Moderate knowledge of building maintenance
• Good oral and written communication skills
