Job description

This position supports the functions of the INCOG BioPharma facility and grounds. The facilities tech oversees maintaining equipment, fixtures, and furniture through routine maintenance and regular check-ups to ensure proper functioning. In case of malfunctions, the tech repairs or schedules repairs. The role ensures compliance with occupational safety and health standards, promoting a safety-first mindset by adhering to and encouraging safety protocols.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Perform general and detailed maintenance throughout the facility, including patching, painting, hardware repair, and other work as required.
2. Conduct routine maintenance on systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and appliances, and assist with utility system maintenance.
3. Schedule and manage contractors for maintenance, projects, and site improvements.
4. Oversee facility grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, irrigation, trash, and recycling programs.
5. Resolve unplanned daily issues to maintain the site’s presentation.
6. Perform daily inspections of buildings and spaces.
7. Maintain inventory of facility-related spares.
8. Assist or perform cleaning of interior and exterior spaces.
9. Document all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
10. Oversee and perform setup and teardown for site-wide events.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
12. Work flexible hours, including weekends, to ensure facility coverage.

Special Job Requirements:

• High school diploma with technical or military training.
• Experience in daily routine inspections.
• Over 3 years of experience managing facility grounds, including painting and hardware repair.
• Physically capable to work overtime and respond to after-hours alarms, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Requirements:

• Certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field.
• 3 years troubleshooting and repairing facility systems in an operational or manufacturing environment.
