Responsibilities
- Maintain a 24/7 facilities operation through skilled and semi-skilled tasks.
- Maintain mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety equipment and the appearance of facilities and grounds.
- Assist with scheduling and overseeing contractor work to ensure safe practices, quality work, and proper clean‑up.
- Provide building repairs such as drywall, paint, wall‑covering, ceiling tile, carpet, and tile flooring, as well as door hardware.
- Perform plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, urinals, toilets, drains, and valves.
- Execute exterior repairs including irrigation, signs, fences, roofs, and metal siding.
- Conduct daily site inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance to building systems and equipment, and create equipment check sheets as requested.
- Report findings to the Maintenance Coordinator.
- Repair HVAC systems, including heating boilers, air conditioning units, VAV boxes, exhaust fans, building automation controls, and filter replacement.
- Carry out electrical repairs, such as replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, receptacles, cord caps, wiring of single and three‑phase motors, and installation of circuits.
- Manage work requests, maintain an inventory of tools and supplies, and create online purchase orders for parts and supplies.
- Coordinate office furniture reconfigurations and moves.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least two full years of recent related experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to obtain an Airport Transport Authority badge; ability to obtain a Customs Seal for the badge if required.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
